Understanding Safety Signage Costs in the Philippines

Understanding Safety Signage Costs in the Philippines
Emergency Assembly Points - Peter Paul Philippines Corporation

Fire Extinguisher Signs Philippines
Safety signages are far more than just colorful placards; they are crucial components of any workplace safety protocol, guiding behavior and preventing accidents.

In the Philippines, where industries range from bustling manufacturing sectors to tourism-driven hospitality, the need for clear and compliant safety signs is paramount. However, the cost of these vital pieces of equipment can vary drastically depending on factors like material, size, design complexity, and the supplier. Understanding these variables is crucial for businesses to ensure they procure effective safety signages within their budget, ultimately contributing to a safer working environment.

One of the primary drivers of price is the material used. The most common materials include PVC (polyvinyl chloride), acrylic, aluminum composite panels (ACP), and self-adhesive vinyl. PVC signs are generally the most affordable, offering a decent level of durability for indoor use. Acrylic signs, known for their glossy finish and professional appearance, command a higher price point.

ACP signs, popular for outdoor use due to their weather resistance and robustness, are typically more expensive still. Self-adhesive vinyl signs offer a flexible and cost-effective option for temporary warnings or informational purposes. The choice of material should be carefully considered based on the sign's intended location, exposure to the elements, and required lifespan.

Size also plays a significant role. Larger signs require more material, leading to higher production costs. Furthermore, complex designs with multiple colors, detailed graphics, and specific text necessitate more time and resources to produce, impacting the final price. Many suppliers offer standard designs that adhere to specific regulations, which are generally more affordable than custom-made signs.

However, businesses often require customized signage to address unique hazards or specific workplace layouts. In these instances, the added design and production costs must be factored into the budget.

The printing method and the supplier also influence the price. Digital printing offers versatility and allows for intricate designs, but can be more expensive for large quantities. Silkscreen printing, ideal for bulk orders with simpler designs, can be a more cost-effective option in such scenarios. Established safety equipment suppliers with robust quality control measures and established reputations often charge a premium compared to smaller, less-known providers.

While opting for the cheapest option might seem tempting, it's crucial to prioritize quality and compliance with Philippine Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards. Substandard signs that are faded, illegible, or incorrectly formatted provide little to no safety benefit and may even expose businesses to compliance fines.

Ultimately, the pricing of safety signages in the Philippines is a multifaceted issue. Businesses need to carefully assess their specific needs, considering factors such as the type of hazards present, the environment where the signs will be placed, and the required level of detail. Obtaining quotes from multiple suppliers, comparing material options, and understanding the trade-offs between cost and quality are essential steps in the procurement process.

Investing in durable, compliant, and easily understandable safety signages is not just a legal obligation but a crucial investment in the well-being of employees and the overall safety culture within the workplace. By making informed decisions, businesses can ensure that their investment in safety signages translates into a safer and more productive work environment for everyone.

Choosing The Right Fire Exit Signage Supplier in the Philippines

Choosing The Right Fire Exit Signage Supplier in the Philippines
Luminous Fire Exit Signs Philippines
Photoluminescent Signs Philippines
In the Philippines, ensuring compliance with safety regulations is crucial for businesses, public buildings, schools, and residential complexes. One key component of these safety measures is the installation of appropriate fire exit signage.

Choosing the right fire exit signage supplier can significantly affect not only compliance with local laws but also the safety of occupants in case of an emergency. Here are some essential tips to guide you in selecting a reliable fire exit signage supplier for your needs in the Philippines.

Understand Regulatory Standards

Before you start looking for suppliers, familiarize yourself with local regulations and standards pertaining to fire exit signage. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the Philippines has specific guidelines regarding the size, placement, and design of fire exit signs. Understanding these requirements will help you communicate your needs more effectively to potential suppliers.

Evaluate Product Quality

Quality should be a top priority when selecting fire exit signage. The signs must be durable, weather-resistant, and visible in various conditions, such as low light or smoke. Opt for suppliers that offer high-quality materials and options, such as luminous or photoluminescent signs, which are particularly useful in emergencies. Request samples to assess the quality of their products.

Consider Customization Options

Every establishment has unique needs regarding fire safety signage. A good supplier should offer customization options to tailor the signs to fit your specific requirements. This includes the ability to add logos, choose specific text, or even design signs that comply with industry regulations. Make sure the supplier can accommodate these requests efficiently.

Assess Reputation and Experience

A supplier’s reputation can provide insight into their reliability and customer service. Research potential suppliers by reading reviews and testimonials from previous clients. Additionally, consider how long they have been in the business. An experienced supplier is likely to have better insight into compliance standards and product quality.

Verify Availability and Lead Times

Your project timeline matters, especially in ensuring that safety measures are implemented promptly. Check the supplier’s inventory and production capabilities. Ask about lead times for orders and whether they can accommodate rush orders if necessary. A reliable supplier should be able to provide clear timelines for delivery.

Inquire About Installation Services

Some suppliers offer installation services along with their products. Opting for a supplier that provides installation can save you time and ensure that your fire exit signs are correctly positioned according to safety regulations. Inquire about their installation procedures and the qualifications of their installation team.

Evaluate Customer Support

Excellent customer support is crucial when dealing with safety products. Choose a supplier that is responsive, whether through email, phone, or in-person inquiries. A supplier who values customer service will be more likely to assist you with your questions, concerns, or any after-sales support you may need.

Compare Pricing and Warranty

While cost should not be the only determining factor, it is essential to have an understanding of the market price for fire exit signage. Request quotes from multiple suppliers and compare what is included in the price. Don’t forget to inquire about their warranty policy—good signage suppliers should stand behind their products.

Seek Recommendations

Lastly, don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations from other businesses or professionals in your network. Personal experiences can provide valuable insights into the reliability and quality of a supplier, often helping you to make a more informed decision.

Conclusion

In the Philippines, the importance of proper fire exit signage cannot be overstated, as it is a crucial part of a comprehensive safety plan. By considering the tips mentioned above, you can select a fire exit signage supplier that meets your needs, ensuring compliance and safety for all occupants. Take your time in the selection process; the right supplier will not only provide quality products but also contribute to the overall safety of your facility.

A Brief Guide to Indoor Safety Signages

A Brief Guide to Indoor Safety Signages
Acrylic Exit Signs Philippines
Maynilad Evacuation Route Plan

Indoor spaces, whether offices, factories, hospitals, or schools, present a unique set of hazards. In the Philippines, where building codes and safety regulations are increasingly prioritizing occupant well-being, the strategic placement of indoor safety signage is crucial.

These visual aids act as silent guardians, communicating vital information to prevent accidents, guide evacuations, and promote a safe and healthy environment for everyone. Understanding the different types of indoor safety signage and their specific functions is essential for building managers, employers, and anyone responsible for ensuring a safe indoor environment.

1. Prohibition Signs: The "Do Not" Messages

Prohibition signs are easily recognized by their red circles with a diagonal slash through a black symbol on a white background. These signs clearly indicate actions that are prohibited in a particular area. Common examples in the Philippines include "No Smoking," "No Entry," "No Food or Drinks," and "No Mobile Phone Use." Understanding and abiding by these signs is paramount to preventing fires, contamination, unauthorized access, and distractions that could lead to accidents. They are often found in areas where specific hazards exist, such as chemical storage rooms, near electrical equipment, and in laboratories.

2. Warning Signs: Be Aware of the Potential Danger

Warning signs, characterized by their yellow triangle with a black border and a black symbol on a yellow background, alert individuals to potential hazards. These signs emphasize caution and encourage careful consideration of the surrounding environment. Examples frequently seen in the Philippines include "Caution: Wet Floor," "Caution: Slippery Surface," "Warning: High Voltage," "Warning: Overhead Hazard," and "Caution: Biohazard." These signs are crucial in preventing slips, falls, electrical shocks, and exposure to hazardous materials. Placement is key, ensuring clear visibility and proximity to the specific hazard being warned against.

3. Mandatory Signs: Directing and Instructing

Mandatory signs, featuring a blue circle with a white symbol on a blue background, instruct individuals on actions they must take to comply with safety regulations. These signs are not optional; they depict required behaviors to minimize risks. Common examples include "Wear Safety Goggles," "Wear Safety Shoes," "Wear Hearing Protection," "Wash Your Hands," and "Use Handrail." These signs are vital in environments where specific personal protective equipment (PPE) is necessary for safety, such as construction sites, factories, and laboratories. They reinforce the importance of adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

4. Emergency Signs: Guiding Evacuation and Assistance

Emergency signs, easily identifiable by their green background with a white symbol and text, are arguably the most critical during emergencies. These signs provide clear guidance for evacuation routes, the location of emergency equipment, and first aid facilities. Examples include "Fire Exit," "Emergency Exit," "First Aid Kit," "Fire Extinguisher," and "Emergency Assembly Point." Clear and well-maintained emergency signage is crucial for efficient and orderly evacuation during fires, earthquakes, or other emergencies. Placement must comply with building codes and be highly visible, even in low-light conditions.

5. Information Signs: Providing Context and Guidelines

Information signs, typically featuring a blue or green rectangle with white text or symbols, provide general information and guidelines relevant to the specific location. Examples include "Reception," "Restroom," "Elevator," "Visitor Parking," and directional signs indicating the location of specific departments or offices. While not directly warning of hazards, these signs contribute to a safer environment by facilitating navigation and reducing confusion, particularly for visitors or new employees.

In conclusion, a comprehensive and well-implemented indoor safety signage system is paramount for creating a safe and secure environment in the Philippines. Understanding the distinct roles of prohibition, warning, mandatory, emergency, and information signs is crucial for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protecting the well-being of all occupants. Regular maintenance and updating of signage, combined with comprehensive safety training programs, are essential to maximize the effectiveness of these silent safeguards and contribute to a culture of safety within any organization.

Types Of Construction Safety Signages

Types Of Construction Safety Signages
Protective Equipment Must Be Worn Signage
The construction industry in the Philippines, booming with infrastructure projects and urbanization, presents unique safety challenges. In this potentially hazardous environment, safety signs act as silent sentinels, conveying crucial information to workers and the public alike.

Understanding the different types of construction safety signs, their meanings, and their proper application is paramount to minimizing accidents, preventing injuries, and fostering a culture of safety on every job site.

1. Prohibition Signs: The "Do Not" Signals

Prohibition signs, easily recognizable by their red circle with a diagonal slash across a symbol, are assertive directives that strictly forbid specific actions. These signs are critical in preventing dangerous behaviors that could lead to immediate harm. Common examples in the Philippines include "No Smoking," "No Entry," "No Open Flames," and "No Unauthorized Access." By clearly outlining prohibited activities, these signs prevent potential hazards like fires, explosions, and unauthorized individuals entering dangerous areas. Their visual impact and direct message leave no room for ambiguity, reinforcing the importance of adhering to safety regulations.

2. Mandatory Signs: The "Must Do" Instructions

Mandatory signs, typically featuring a blue circle with a white symbol, specify actions that are compulsory to ensure safety. These signs dictate essential personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, such as "Wear Hard Hat," "Wear Safety Glasses," "Wear Safety Boots," and "Use Handrails." They emphasize the personal responsibility of each worker in protecting themselves from workplace hazards. Compliance with mandatory signs is not a suggestion but a requirement enforced to minimize risks associated with falling debris, eye injuries, foot injuries, and falls from heights. By visually prompting workers to utilize the appropriate PPE, these signs contribute significantly to reducing the severity of potential accidents.

3. Warning Signs: The "Be Aware" Alerts

Warning signs, characterized by their yellow triangle with a black border and symbol, alert individuals to potential hazards or dangerous conditions present in the construction area. These signs serve as a cautionary reminder to exercise caution and be vigilant. Common examples include "High Voltage," "Beware of Falling Objects," "Slippery Surface," and "Construction Zone." These signs prompt workers to assess their surroundings, identify potential risks, and take necessary precautions to avoid accidents. They often serve as a general alert to potential dangers that might not be immediately obvious, fostering a heightened sense of awareness on the job site.

4. Information Signs: The "Need to Know" Guides

Information signs, usually rectangular or square with a green background and white text or symbols, provide general information, directions, or instructions relevant to safety. These signs serve as a valuable resource for locating essential facilities and navigating the construction site. Examples include "First Aid Station," "Emergency Exit," "Fire Extinguisher," and "Safety Assembly Point." Clear and accessible information is crucial for ensuring that workers can respond effectively in emergencies and access vital resources when needed. Information signs contribute to a more organized and safer work environment by promoting clear communication and easy access to critical information.

5. Fire Safety Signs: The "Prevent and Respond" Notices

Fire safety signs are specifically designed to highlight fire-related hazards and provide guidance on fire prevention and emergency procedures. They include signs indicating the location of fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, fire alarm pull stations, and fire exits. They may also include signs outlining fire safety procedures, such as "Keep Fire Door Closed" or "No flammable materials." These signs are critical in ensuring a rapid and coordinated response in the event of a fire, minimizing damage and protecting lives.

Conclusion:

The proper implementation and maintenance of these different types of construction safety signs are essential for creating a safer working environment in the Philippines. Regular inspections, employee training on sign recognition and meaning, and consistent enforcement of safety regulations are vital to maximizing their effectiveness.

By prioritizing the use of these visual cues, construction companies can significantly reduce the risk of accidents, protect their workforce, and contribute to a more responsible and sustainable construction industry. Furthermore, it's crucial that these signs conform to Philippine standards (such as those outlined by DOLE) to ensure consistency and clear communication across all construction sites. Ultimately, a commitment to safety begins with clear communication, and construction safety signs are a fundamental element of that communication strategy.

Functions Of CCTV Signages

Functions Of CCTV SignagesPrismatic CCTV No Trespassing Sign Philippines
Security Cameras In Use Signage Philippines
Video Surveillance Sign Philippines
The presence of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras is becoming increasingly ubiquitous. While the cameras themselves act as electronic eyes, passively observing and recording, the accompanying signage plays a crucial role in shaping behavior and ensuring the effectiveness of these surveillance systems.

CCTV signs, often overlooked, are more than just simple warnings; they are vital communication tools that contribute to crime deterrence, public safety, and legal compliance within the Filipino context.

The primary function of CCTV signage is to deter potential criminal activity. By clearly indicating the presence of surveillance, these signs act as a visual deterrent, discouraging individuals from engaging in illicit behavior. Knowing they are being watched can significantly alter a person's actions, making them less likely to commit theft, vandalism, or other offenses. In a country with a high population density and varying levels of security, the psychological impact of CCTV signage can be particularly potent, fostering a sense of vigilance and discouraging opportunistic crime. The presence of a sign, even if the camera is non-functional, can still have a deterrent effect, highlighting the inherent value of this simple yet powerful tool.

Beyond crime prevention, CCTV signage contributes significantly to public safety. In areas prone to accidents, such as busy intersections or construction zones, signs serve as a reminder to be cautious and aware of one's surroundings. Furthermore, in the aftermath of an incident, CCTV footage, made possible by the presence of the cameras and indicated by the signage, can be invaluable in providing evidence for investigations and identifying the responsible parties. This is particularly important in the Philippines, where traffic accidents are unfortunately common. CCTV footage combined with appropriate signage can not only help in resolving disputes but also in improving traffic management and accident prevention strategies.

Moreover, CCTV signage plays a critical role in ensuring legal compliance and ethical considerations. In the Philippines, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) necessitates transparency regarding the collection and use of personal data. CCTV systems, as data-gathering tools, fall under the purview of this law. Clear and conspicuous CCTV signage informs individuals that they are being recorded, allowing them to make informed decisions about their actions and movements. This complies with the principles of transparency and accountability, protecting individuals' right to privacy and ensuring ethical operation of surveillance systems. Failure to display appropriate signage can expose the owner or operator of the CCTV system to legal ramifications and reputational damage.

However, the effectiveness of CCTV signage hinges on its clarity, placement, and maintenance. Signs should be easily visible, legible, and written in languages understood by the local population, including Filipino and other regional dialects. They should be strategically positioned in areas of high visibility and high-risk, maximizing their impact. Regularly maintaining the signs ensures that they remain in good condition and continue to serve their purpose effectively. A faded or damaged sign loses its deterrent power and can even create confusion.

In conclusion, CCTV signage in the Philippines is far from being a mere formality. It is a crucial element of a comprehensive security strategy that contributes to crime deterrence, public safety, and legal compliance. By acting as silent guardians, these signs communicate the presence of surveillance, shaping behavior and fostering a safer environment for communities across the archipelago. As the use of CCTV technology continues to expand, ensuring the proper display and maintenance of clear, informative signage will remain paramount in maximizing its benefits while upholding the principles of privacy and ethical conduct.

Importance of Photoluminescent Evacuation Plans

 Importance of Photoluminescent Evacuation Plans
Emergency Evacuation Plans - Bandai Philippines
Emergency Assembly Points - Peter Paul Philippines Corporation
Photoluminescent evacuation plans emerge as a vital, yet often overlooked, component of building safety, offering a reliable and potentially life-saving solution during emergencies, particularly when power outages render conventional lighting systems useless.

Photoluminescent evacuation plans, also known as glow-in-the-dark escape route maps, are meticulously designed diagrams displayed within buildings, illustrating the safest and most efficient routes to exit in the event of an emergency. What sets them apart is their ability to absorb ambient light during normal conditions and emit that stored energy as visible light in darkness, providing a clear and continuous guide even when regular lighting fails. This feature is particularly critical in the Philippines, where power outages are a frequent consequence of natural disasters, leaving individuals trapped in darkened environments with limited visibility and heightened panic.

The importance of photoluminescent evacuation plans in the Philippines stems from several key factors. Firstly, they provide immediate and reliable guidance during power outages. Unlike battery-operated emergency lights, which can fail due to maintenance issues or depleted batteries, photoluminescent plans operate passively, requiring no external power source. This guarantees consistent illumination, allowing occupants to quickly and safely navigate to designated escape routes, stairwells, and assembly areas, even amidst the chaos and darkness.

Secondly, these plans enhance visibility and reduce confusion, especially in unfamiliar environments. During emergencies, people often experience disorientation and heightened stress, making it difficult to remember exit routes. The clear, illuminated pathways provided by photoluminescent plans offer a readily understandable visual guide, minimizing confusion and ensuring a more orderly evacuation process. This is especially beneficial for visitors, disabled individuals, and those who may not be familiar with the building's layout.

Furthermore, photoluminescent evacuation plans contribute to a calmer and more efficient evacuation. The visibility offered by these plans helps to mitigate panic and anxiety, allowing individuals to move in a more controlled and organized manner. This can significantly reduce the risk of bottlenecks, stampedes, and injuries during the evacuation, ultimately leading to a faster and safer escape for everyone.

Beyond safety, the implementation of glow in the dark evacuation plans in the Philippines demonstrates a commitment to proactive disaster preparedness. It signifies an understanding of the unique challenges posed by the country's geographical location and the importance of investing in reliable, low-maintenance safety solutions. Furthermore, incorporating these plans aligns with international safety standards and best practices, enhancing the reputation of buildings and organizations committed to occupant safety.

In conclusion, photoluminescent evacuation plans are not just a mere safety measure; they are a crucial lifeline in the Philippines' disaster-prone environment. By providing reliable, continuous illumination during power outages, enhancing visibility and reducing confusion, and contributing to a calmer and more efficient evacuation process, these plans play a vital role in protecting lives and mitigating the impact of emergencies. Promoting the widespread adoption of photoluminescent evacuation plans across various buildings and establishments throughout the Philippines is a necessary step towards building a more resilient and disaster-prepared nation. It is an investment in safety that can make a significant difference when every second counts during a crisis.

Crucial Role Of Glow in the Dark Safety Signs

Crucial Role Of Glow in the Dark Safety Signs
Emergency Assembly Points - Peter Paul Philippines Corporation

Photoluminescent Signs Philippines
Safety is a paramount concern in any society, and the Philippines is no exception. With a growing population and bustling cities, ensuring the safety of individuals in various settings has become a pressing issue.

One crucial aspect of safety that often goes unnoticed is the presence of glow in the dark safety signs. These luminous or photoluminescent signs play a vital role in emergency situations, providing clear instructions and warnings even in low-light conditions.

Glow in the dark safety signs serve as a visual communication tool, conveying critical information to individuals during emergencies or hazardous situations. Their luminous properties allow them to remain visible even in complete darkness, ensuring that people can quickly identify potential dangers and follow the appropriate safety protocols. These signs are especially important in areas prone to power outages or low lighting conditions, where traditional signage may become ineffective.

Here are some of the benefits of installing glow in the dark safety signs:

1. Enhanced Visibility: Glow in the dark safety signs offer superior visibility compared to traditional signs, thanks to their photoluminescent properties. Their bright and long-lasting glow ensures that individuals can easily spot them from a distance, reducing the chances of accidents or mishaps.

The visibility of these signs is not affected by external factors such as rain, fog, or smog, making them reliable in various weather conditions.

2. Cost-effective: Unlike electrically-powered signs that require continuous energy supply, glow in the dark safety signs are self-sustaining. They absorb light during the day or when exposed to artificial light sources and emit it during darkness, eliminating the need for electricity consumption. This eco-friendly feature makes them cost-effective and efficient in the long run.

3. Versatility: Luminous safety signs come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, and designs, making them suitable for various settings. From emergency exit signs to hazard warnings, these signs can be customized to meet specific safety requirements. Their versatility allows for comprehensive safety coverage in different environments, including offices, schools, hospitals, and public spaces.

In a country prone to natural disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes, having effective emergency protocols is crucial. Photoluminescent safety signs play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth evacuation of buildings during such calamities. By providing clear directions and identifying emergency exits, these signs help individuals navigate through unfamiliar surroundings and reach safety quickly.

Furthermore, in densely populated areas like Metro Manila, traffic accidents are a common occurrence. Glow in the dark safety signs are essential in minimizing road accidents by alerting drivers to potential hazards and providing vital information on speed limits, road conditions, and directions.

True enough, glow in the dark safety signs play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of individuals in the Philippines. Their luminous properties, cost-effectiveness, versatility, and ability to overcome language barriers make them an indispensable tool in emergency situations.

By incorporating these signs into public spaces, buildings, and roadways, the Philippines can significantly enhance its safety infrastructure and protect its citizens from potential hazards. It is imperative for government agencies, private organizations, and individuals to recognize the importance of glow in the dark safety signs and prioritize their implementation for a safer and more secure society.

Importance Of Emergency Signs

Importance Of Emergency Signs in the Philippines
Emergency Evacuation Plans - Bandai Philippines
Photoluminescent Signs Philippines
In a country like the Philippines, where natural disasters and emergencies are a common occurrence, having effective emergency signs can make all the difference in saving lives.

These safety signs serve as crucial tools in providing vital information and instructions to people during times of crisis. From typhoons and earthquakes to fires and volcanic eruptions, emergency signs play a vital role in keeping people safe and informed.

One of the most significant benefits of having emergency signs in the Philippines is their ability to provide clear and concise instructions in times of chaos. During natural disasters, communication systems may be down, and people may be in a state of panic. In such situations, emergency signs serve as a reliable source of information, guiding people on what to do and where to go for safety. These signs are strategically placed in public areas, such as schools, hospitals, and government buildings, ensuring that everyone has access to vital information during an emergency.

Furthermore, emergency signs in the Philippines also help in preventing accidents and injuries. For instance, road signs indicating areas prone to landslides or flash floods can help drivers avoid these hazardous areas, reducing the risk of accidents.

Similarly, safety warning signs near bodies of water can alert people about the danger of swimming, especially during typhoons or flood warnings. As the country is prone to natural disasters, having these signs can significantly reduce the number of casualties and injuries.

Moreover, emergency signs such as glow in the dark evacuation plans also play a crucial role in facilitating swift and organized evacuations. In the case of volcanic eruptions or typhoons, timely evacuation can be the difference between life and death.

With the help of emergency exit signs, people can quickly identify designated evacuation routes, assembly points, and shelters. This not only ensures a smooth evacuation process but also prevents confusion and chaos, which can lead to injuries or loss of life.

Additionally, emergency signs also help in preparing and educating the public about potential hazards. Through these signs, people can learn about the different types of disasters that can occur in their area and how to prepare for them. This can include information about emergency kits, emergency contact numbers, and evacuation procedures.

By educating the public through these signs, the government can empower communities to be more resilient and better prepared for emergencies.

We prefer to receive files in PSD format, as this speeds up the production process. However, we can also accept JPG, PNG, or PDF files. Please make sure it's high resolution. Your image file should be set to 300 dpi, at the very least. Photos and graphics pulled from the internet are often low resolution, typically 72 dpi or 96 dpi. Avoid these graphics, as they will appear pixelated and blurry when printed.
